The CUAHSI Hydrologic Information System (HIS) is a geographically distributed network of hydrologic data sources and functions that are integrated using web services oriented architecture so that they function as a connected whole.

This is a project supported by the National Science Foundation, and lead by Principal Investigator, David Maidment (University of Texas at Austin) with co Principal Investigators Ilya Zaslavsky (San Diego Super Computer Center), David Tarboton (Utah State University), Michael Piasecki (Drexel), Jon Goodall (University of South Carolina). CUAHSI is the Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Science, Inc., an organization representing more than one hundred U.S. universities whose mission is to develop infrastructure and services for the advancement of hydrologic science and education in the United States.
